Shipping containers come in a range of standard sizes, below are the most common sizes and what they can be used for:​

  • 8ft and Under Storage Containers

Containers that are 8ft by 8ft and below are the smallest standard size available on the market and are ideal for domestic, commercial and site storage needs.

  • 20ft Storage Containers

20ft storage containers are the most popular size due to their versatility, offering ample storage facilities for sites with limited space and acting as the perfect base for modular and bespoke conversions such as home offices, pop-up shops, cafes, catering spaces and more.

 

  • 40ft Storage Containers

40ft storage containers are the largest standard size available, acting as the perfect solution for storing larger items such as furniture, vehicles and events supplies, or as the base for a larger conversion project like an office space or container home.

 

  • High Cube Storage Containers

Standard shipping containers are typically 20ft or 40ft long and 8ft 6” in height - high cube containers offer an additional 1ft of space at 9ft 6” tall.

 

This extra vertical space is ideal for storing taller items such as machinery and events equipment, or for those who need more volume instead of floor space for stackable items like boxes, pallets or crates.

Each open plan container conversion is also easily dismantled and reassembled for maximum portability and usage.
